I find it super interesting. How an year back a girl messages me up for an interview appointment. I talk to her about it but then get to know her dreams. Also almost 2 years back i reach up a lady who was up with an amazing idea which i thought i could really support and which i personally liked alot. Both of them inspired by me, not knowing me. Me being inspired by their big dreams. Really big dreams which you cant even imagine. And finally we three working together now to do something we think can change the way our world functions; not the whole world all in once but a part of it. I love it.

This is somehow related to the talk i gave at TEDxKinnaird about how these little kids don’t need money but a little kindness and happiness. That’s it.

So here meet Shaheena.A cute little girl, of not more than ~7 years of age, I met today in F-11 who didn’t know what her age was, or the fact that the language she was speaking in was in fact Urdu. The unfortunate story is that her father sits at home and reads the Quran all day, and relies on his wife and daughters to earn for the household by begging in the streets. What’s more interesting is that her brother beats her up if she asks to study, to the extent that when I made a serious offer of giving her twenty rupees a day if she chose to study from me for just half an hour everyday, she blatantly refused because ‘she didn’t like the concept of studying’. Its time we realize that a lack of education is the biggest crisis our country’s facing right now and if we really wanted some long term change and solutions, we need a drastic change in the mindset and literacy of the general populace. Missiles and drones won’t counter extremism. Education can and will.On a lighter note, these street children, who tend to bother everyone when they’re sitting outside nice coffee places and restaurants, have a lot more that meets the eye. For me, every time one of these little girls used to come and ask me for money, I’d talk to them for 10-15 minutes just as I’d talk to my friends and just generally be nice to them. After meeting me once or twice, they don’t ask me for money anymore and get so excited every time I see them. Sometimes, with these children, a little kindness and friendliness is more worthy than all the money in the world.—Sumayah HasanCreative LeadLS

Be frank with God. He doesn’t mind crying or complaining or anything of the sort. Ask only Him for whatever you want. As for the rest of the world, don’t ask, just give.

There are people in this world who know about Pakistan only because of this man.
Whatta Legend. Respect to him, Always.

Today is the second “Friday the 13th” of the year. This year has three, and they’re all 6 weeks apart. 6|6|6. We’re all gonna’ die - 2012 \m/

KONY 2012.

Lots of us are getting excited about helping children in other parts of the world, about the world wanting to get involved outside of self-interested reasons. Why some people feel the need to make bitchy remarks trying to be little that is beyond me. Caring has to start somewhere. If its on facebook/twitter, using the fastest, most effective modern communication, then personally I see nothing wrong with that. We’re not trying to become human rights activists over night, we’re showing that we care. If you have a problem with that, keep it to yourself.
